Our Purpose

The purpose of Celebrate Recovery® at Travis is for fellowship and to celebrate God’s healing power in our lives through the eight recovery principles found in the Beatitudes and Christ-centered 12-steps. This experience allows us to be changed. We open the door by sharing our experiences, victories, and hopes with one another. In addition we become willing to accept God’s grace in solving our life problems. Recovery is not just substance abuse, addictions, or compulsion issues. It includes all hurts, habits and hangups that are affecting our lives. Examples of these issues are emotional, physical, and sexual abuse; behavior problems such as depression, anxiety, and other such problems that are beyond our ability to control or understand.
